While you will still be required to ‘social distance’ we will assign your group to a defined space along the procession route to cheer on our Veterans. This will enable us to separate large groups and hopefully fill each corner of the route with cheering spectators for those veterans and active military members participating in the procession.

Assumption of Risk 

I am fully aware that there are special dangers and risks to me and the Organization members inherent in this activity, including, but not limited to, serious physical injury, death or other harmful consequences, that may arise directly or indirectly from being a spectator of the Procession. Being fully aware of all of the risks, I and my Organization RELEASE the City of Auburn and its officials, employees, volunteers and agents, and AGREE TO WAIVE ANY RIGHT OF RECOVERY THAT I AND/OR THE RGANIZATION, AS APPLICABLE, MAY HAVE, including the right to bring a legal claim, cause of action, or lawsuit for any bodily injury, death or other harmful consequences in any way arising out of me and the Organization serving as spectator(s) of the Procession. I understand that this release extends to all claims of any kind and every nature, known, unknown, suspected or unsuspected, in any way arising out of or related to participation in the activity, including contracting COVID 19 whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after my participation in this City of Auburn activity.

I acknowledge that COVID-19 is highly contagious and there is a risk that I and the members of the Organization may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 while participating as spectator(s) to the Procession and that such exposure or infection may result in injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.  I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including but not limited to City of Auburn employees and, volunteers, and the public. I agree that  it is each person’s individual duty to protect themselves from the virus and doing so is the sole responsibility of myself, not the responsibility of the City.  

I and the Organization agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the City of Auburn from and against any and all claims, suits, actions, or liabilities for injury or death of any person, or for loss or damage to property, which arises out of my and the Organization’s participation in this activity, except only such injury or damage as shall have been occasioned by the sole negligence of the City of Auburn.

I have read the above terms and conditions and agree to them on my own behalf and on behalf of the Organization, which I have authority to represent and bind.
