JOLLY HOLIDAY LANE STATIC DISPLAY PARTICIPANT RULES

1. All static display entries, commercial and non, must be completely lighted. 

2. Please have fun and be creative with your lighted holiday static display, but please be sure to keep it family friendly.

3. Static Display entries are restricted from having a ‘Santa Claus’. We have arranged to have one (1) Santa Claus in the Lane, and having more than one may confuse children. 

4. Static display participants will be assigned a designated area and will be given a space assignment in advance.

5. Power is not available to static display participants, however; participants are allowed to bring their own quiet generator if needed

6. This will be a Drive-Thru event There will be only two locations where the vehicles will stop to pick-up an item. No in-person stops will be allowed at static display participant locations along the route. 

7. Static display participants are encouraged to post a sign with name/club/group identified.

8. If you are an approved Static Display participant, you are allowed to provide items for a holiday treat bag that will be handed out at one of the stops along the route.

9. Entries will be spaced out with ten feet of physical distance between each entry. Static Display participants must maintain social distancing at all times. All static display participants must wear a mask. 

10. Any children that are part of a static display must be under adult supervision at all times.

11. As a Static Display participant, you plan to participate regardless of the weather (unless the event has a weather cancellation). Please keep in mind that YOU are part of the event being promoted! If you don’t show up, it will significantly impact the overall event. Please have a backup plan (such as bringing a pop-up tent to put over your lighted display). 

Assumption of Risks/Exculpatory Clause: Being fully aware of all of the risks, I and my Organization RELEASE the City of Auburn and its officials, employees, volunteers and agents, and AGREE TO WAIVE ANY RIGHT OF RECOVERY THAT I AND/OR THE ORGANIZATION, AS APPLICABLE, MAY HAVE, including the right to bring a legal claim, cause of action, or lawsuit for any bodily injury, death or other harmful consequences in any way arising out of me and the Organization serving as spectator(s) of the Procession. I understand that this release extends to all claims of any kind and every nature, known, unknown, suspected or unsuspected, in any way arising out of or related to participation in the activity, including contracting COVID 19 whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after my participation in this City of Auburn activity.

I acknowledge that COVID-19 is highly contagious and there is a risk that I and the members of the Organization may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 while participating as static display in the Jolly Holiday Lane and that such exposure or infection may result in injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.  I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including but not limited to City of Auburn employees and, volunteers, and the public. I agree that  it is each person’s individual duty to protect themselves from the virus and doing so is the sole responsibility of myself, not the responsibility of the City.  

I and the Organization agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the City of Auburn from and against any and all claims, suits, actions, or liabilities for injury or death of any person, or for loss or damage to property, which arises out of my and the Organization’s participation in this activity, except only such injury or damage as shall have been occasioned by the sole negligence of the City of Auburn.

I have read the above terms and conditions and agree to them on my own behalf and on behalf of the Organization, which I have authority to represent and bind.
